The last couple of years' economic turbulence has had a dramatic effect on many industries around the world, and the building industry is by no means the least of them. With the requests for new builds down, the industry is in a period of stagnation.
Most investors realise, however, that there is still money to be made out of the building and property trades, if only one knows where to look. One of these areas is in investing abroad, and leaseback property Paris has proven to be very popular.
France, and to a lesser extent Spain, offer quite an attractive investment deal. The basics of it are that a person buys a building, whether it be a house or apartment and then leases it to a company for a period of ten years.
This company then offers a guaranteed monthly payment to the owner, regardless of whether the property is rented out during this time or not. Of course, it is important for the company to rent the building out, so only take part in this scheme if you are willing to do this!
At the end of the ten year period, you would then have the choice to live in the building yourself, sell it, or lease it back to the company once more. This offers a great way to guarantee a fixed income, and with interest rates so low at the moment, offers an interesting way to invest.
