As the strategy
of the UK Heat Pump Network is being reviewed, the Network's Heat Pump Council
met to consider the future. The following two documents set out the issues
and summarise the current situation.

The future
content of the IEA Heat Pump Programme is currently being considered. The
following note sets out the proposed scope and invites anyone interested
to become involved.

the 7th IEA Heat Pump Conference in Beijing, China in May 2002. It is made

The International Energy Agency (IEA) Heat Pump Centre and the International Power Utility Heat Pump Committee (IPUHPC) held an international workshop "Hands-On Experience with Heat Pumps in Buildings", in Arnhem, the Netherlands, on 10-11 October 2001. This joint workshop was aimed at stimulating the qualitative and cost-effective application of heat pump technology in residences and commercial/institutional buildings by exchanging practical knowledge and know-how regarding design, realisation, operation, monitoring and marketing.

Joint Conference of IIR Commissions B2 and B1 with E1 and E2. Also the Heat Pump Centre (HPC) hold the workshop Refrigerant Management and Regulations on the third day of the conference. At that occasion, the HPC presented the results of the TCP project on this subject (International Assessment).
The conference was held in Dubrovnik, Croatia. August 29-31, 2001.

The 2nd International Heat Powered Cycles conference took place in Paris this year, (5 -7 September 2001). The conference included papers on heat powered (sorption cycle) heat pumps.

Members of the Network and other interested parties met at the Marmont Centre, Nottingham University, on the 22nd June, 2000. It was a very succesful event and even if you were unable to be there you can find what happened reading the following minutes of the meeting...
